🔥 Fire Safety · Suppression Systems

Specialist suppression for
the risks a sprinkler can't handle.

Some environments need more than a standard fire alarm. Server rooms, commercial kitchens, plant rooms and high-value storage areas have specific risks that need specific solutions — and that's exactly what we design and install.

Gaseous Suppression Kitchen Suppression Water Mist Server Room Protection Design & Install

Standard fire detection and sprinklers are excellent for most environments — but some spaces require more specialist protection. Server rooms, data centres, electrical switchrooms, commercial kitchens and high-value storage areas all have risks where water would cause as much damage as the fire itself.

We design, install and maintain a range of specialist suppression systems — from clean agent gaseous systems that protect IT equipment without water damage, to commercial kitchen suppression that automatically tackles cooking oil fires.

Every system is designed specifically for the environment it's protecting. We survey the space, assess the risk, specify the right agent and delivery system, and provide a fully integrated solution that works alongside your fire alarm.

Suppression system types we install

FM200 / HFC-227ea — clean agent for server rooms and data centres
Novec 1230 — environmentally preferred clean agent suppression
CO2 total flooding — for plant rooms and unoccupied spaces
Inergen / inert gas systems — low-pressure inert gas suppression
Commercial kitchen suppression — Ansul, Kidde and equivalent systems
Water mist systems — fine droplet suppression for specialist applications

Everything covered, start to finish.

System Design

Specialist design including agent selection, room integrity assessment, nozzle placement and integration with your fire alarm.

🔧

Professional Installation

Installation of all cylinders, pipework, nozzles, detection, control panels and actuators by our trained engineers.

🧪

Commissioning & Room Integrity Testing

Full commissioning and door fan testing to verify the protected enclosure meets the required integrity standard for the agent being used.

📅

Annual Maintenance

Scheduled inspection and servicing to manufacturer recommendations and relevant British Standards, including cylinder weight checks and detection testing.

🔄

Agent Recharging

Fast recharging of cylinders following any discharge — to minimise the period during which the protected space is without suppression.

🔗

Alarm Integration

Full integration with your existing fire alarm system, ensuring the suppression activates at the right time and alarms are raised immediately.

Simple, straightforward, fully managed.

01

Survey & risk assessment

We visit the space, assess the fire risk, and determine the most appropriate suppression agent and delivery system for the environment.

02

Design & specification

We produce a detailed design for your approval, including all technical calculations and compliance documentation.

03

Installation

Our engineers install the complete system, including cylinders, pipework, nozzles, detection and control equipment.

04

Commissioning & handover

We commission and test the system, carry out room integrity testing, and hand over all documentation and certification.

What makes our suppression systems service different.

We do things properly — and we've been doing them that way since 2015. Here's what that means for you.

We design for the specific environment

The wrong suppression agent in the wrong space can make things significantly worse. We design based on a proper assessment of the risk — not a generic recommendation.

Full integration with your fire alarm

A suppression system that doesn't talk properly to your fire alarm isn't doing its job. We make sure everything works together and the response sequence is exactly right.

Long-term maintenance support

Suppression systems require specialist maintenance. We support our installations for the long term, with scheduled visits and fast response when needed.

Common Questions

Things people usually ask us.

Is a gaseous suppression system safe for people?
Clean agent systems such as FM200 and Novec 1230 are designed to be used in occupied spaces at safe concentrations for people. CO2 systems are not safe for occupied spaces and are used only in normally unoccupied areas. We'll specify the appropriate agent for your situation.
Do I need room integrity testing?
Yes — for any total flooding gaseous suppression system. Room integrity testing (door fan testing) verifies that the protected enclosure will retain the suppression agent long enough to suppress the fire. Without a passing integrity test, the system may not work as intended.
What happens after a system discharge?
After discharge, the protected space will be filled with agent and should not be re-entered until ventilated and declared safe. Cylinders will need recharging before the system is operational again. We provide emergency recharging services and aim to minimise the unprotected period.
Can suppression be retrofitted to an existing server room?
Yes, in most cases. The key considerations are access for pipework, the integrity of the room enclosure, and whether the existing fire alarm can support the required detection and integration. We'll assess feasibility as part of our initial survey.
